Our client is a dairy farm located in Sagana, and they are looking forward to filling a veterinary officer role. The ideal candidate will provide health services on vaccination, de-worming, reproductive diseases, theriogenology, and diseases management of livestock on the farm.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Carrying out disease control activities such as disease research, vaccination and enforcement of livestock movement regulations, actively participating in training of stakeholders in vector control programs.
• Treating sick animals.
• Advising on good veterinary practices.
• Collecting data and preparing reports on animal health, products and markets.
• Advising on animal breeding and welfare.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) degree from a university recognized in Kenya; or equivalent.
2. 3 years extensive experience.
3. A passion for veterinary care.
4. Excellent report writing skills.
5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
6. The ability to make decisions in stressful environments.
7. Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Willingness to work overtime as required.
